Dear Sirs,
We have to acknowledge with thanks receipt of your esteemed order 2959, but have to inform you that owing to an increase in labour and material we are reluctantly compelled to advance our prices.
The new lists covering this increase are in the hands of our printers and copy will be forwarded as soon as supplies are received.
We hoped to furnish these revised price lists to our customers early last week, but owing to delay on the part of our printers this has not been possible.
We are therefore at present compelled to declare a 5% all-round increase on previous prices, and as the order is urgently wanted, we have taken the liberty of putting this in hand at the advanced price and trust this will meet with your approval.
With regard to delivery of goods already on order we beg to advise you that these will be despatched on the 28th inst., which we trust will be in time for your requirements.
