My dear Ambassador,

Thank you for your letter of 2 May about the functions which Their Imperial Highnesses Prince and Princess Mikasa would like to attend while they are in London.

As Miss Makgill has explained to your Private Secretary, invitations to the Royal Enclosure at Ascot are issued on the basis of the list which you customarily send to the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps. You will no doubt include Their Imperial Highnesses’ names on your list.

For the rest, you may be assured that I have taken steps to ensure that Their Imperial Highnesses’ wishes are met.

Yours sincerely,

(Signed)
J N O Curle
